Knick Knack Art's Flock - A New Art Collective for Curious Creatives

My friend, Ellen, and I, are starting a monthly art drop-in! We are so excited to foster community and a sharing circle for local artists and makers.

Our first session, will be later this month, on September 30th from 1pm to 3pm at Ed Video, a local artist centre.

Artists and Makers are encouraged to attend with a project they are working on. Free art supplies for low-income folks will also be available each session, no questions asked.

Paint & Sip Night at Guelph Golf House

Join me next month for my first “Paint & Sip” night hosted by The Golf House. Learn some basic techniques in watercolour painting, and bring home three unique postcard paintings to share with friends and family. Enjoy a glass of wine in a relaxed learning environment.

When: Tuesday, June 13, 2023

Time: 7:00 p.m. 9:00 p.m.

Where: The Golf House, 650 Woodlawn Road West Unit 11&12B Guelph, Ontario, N1K 1B8

Cost: $50 per person

Crafts, Laughs & Girl Power: A Lamplighter Party

What's a "zine"? A zine is a self-published magazine or chapter book made up of original and/or appropriated text and images. The word comes from magazine.

On June 10, 2018 we hosted our first zine-making party! We had 10 participants and lots of food, flowers & fun. It was almost everyone's first time making a zine, but after walking through the steps to folding/cutting the paper of the booklet itself, everyone relaxed and had fun planning, designing, writing and decorating their own zine. 

The best part of hosting this craft-making party was seeing everyone relax and get creative. Even though we used all the same materials everyone's zine turned out different:
